Bonjour fashion lovers.
Chiara Ferragni has been indicted on charges of aggravated fraud in the 'Pandoro Gate' case. The agreement with Codacons, made in December, was not enough to save her. According to the prosecution, three of the influencer's companies made an unfair profit of almost 2.2 million euros by deceiving, the documents state, "an unspecified number of buyers."
Ferragni responded to the news with a statement saying: "I sincerely believed that it was not necessary to hold a trial to prove that I never defrauded anyone. I will unfortunately have to live with this accusation for some time to come, which I consider deeply unfair, but I am ready to fight with even greater determination to bring out my absolute innocence."

The news comes a year after the scandal that hit her and which, unfortunately, led to the downfall of the undisputed queen (until that December 15, 2023) of the fashion world. She is no longer sought after by designers, there are no more fashion weeks (where brands were willing to pay up to 300,000 euros for her mere presence), she is no longer unconditionally revered by followers, there are no more prestigious brands that like to link their image to hers, there are no more invitations to the most luxurious locations (now the brands she collaborates with or the structures that host her are targeted to the point of having to block comments on social media pages. Everything has changed. I never thought I would see Chiara Ferragni sponsor a dry shampoo (nothing against this type of product, but seeing it linked to the number one fashion blogger/entrepreneur in the world is very, very strange). Perhaps I was wrong when in a previous article I predicted that Chiara, the Midas of fashion, would return with the same powerful communication as before Pandoro gate? In light of all that has happened, perhaps I must admit my misjudgment. Surely the indictment will not help Chiara Ferragni regain the position she once held. It will be difficult, for example, for a brand like Dior (to which she was strongly linked) to tie itself to an influencer on trial. Unfortunately, it will not be easy, and this is an objective fact.

However, personally, the principle that no one is guilty until a final conviction remains (as a lawyer, I cannot forget this principle)
