Kate Hudson in Valentino is my new fashion crush

Bonjour fashion lovers,
There are celebrities who enter our hearts slowly, almost unexpectedly.

And that is exactly what is happening to me with Kate Hudson.

I began appreciating her little by little, until she became a true crush of style and talent. How did I not love her right away? How is it possible that the fashion lover in me let her slip away for so long?

Now that I’ve discovered her, I’m not letting her go.

And to make up for this oversight, I’m dedicating this first article in the fashion/trend section to her, outside of my editorial Cappuccino Time with Emanuela.

Kate, this is for you.

To inaugurate this new small — yet meaningful — path within my fashion world, I begin with your stunning Valentino look worn last night on the red carpet of the Actors Awards 2026.

A dress of extraordinary elegance, carried with that natural ease only you possess, and elevated by bespoke jewels by Emily P. Wheeler.
It goes without saying: it was my favorite look of the evening. Which says a lot, considering I am deeply black addicted.

Stylist Sophie Lopez is doing an impeccable job.

The draping and gathered detailing create a beautiful sartorial construction at the waist, which then opens into an A-line silhouette. The tonal cape adds a regal yet strikingly modern dimension to the look.

Long, sleek hair flowing down her back brings that touch of vintage glamour that completes the visual narrative.

And yes, Kate… I adore you.
