Diana Ross is Saint Laurent's new ambassador

Bonjour fashion lovers.

Diana Ross is Saint Laurent's new ambassador.

The fashion news given by creative director Anthony Vaccarello on his IG profile did not surprise at all those who know and love the history of the French Maison and the great bond that binds its to the singer.

Diana Ross has never hidden her love for Saint Laurent dresses, wearing them at different times in her life and long career.

How to forget the Saint Laurent total look worn in Grand Central Station in 1968, or the green fur from the scandalous "Libération" collection worn at the Image Awards in 1972.

How can we forget the images depicting Diana Ross and the great Yves Saint Laurent dancing close to each other in the iconic Studio 54 club in 1979 or, again, the fiery red dress worn in 2003 at the Met Gala alongside Tom Ford, newly elected creative director of the French fashion house.

It was inevitable, dare I say, almost natural, Vaccarello's choice.

Not to mention that we like the not-so-young icons more and more. She is turn 80 in March!
